Our story

Our story

all began

Château Florentina is a family winery. That is not a marketing label — it describes how decisions are made here: slowly, with the next vintage in mind rather than the next quarter.

In this corner of north-western Bulgaria the vineyards are not simply plantings — they are living memories woven into the lives of local people. Gamza from Florentin carries the breath of the Danube and a touch of spice from the northern winds, Cabernet Sauvignon gains depth and nobility, and Rkatsiteli takes on a local accent of its own — fresh, fruity and full of life.

How we make wine

It all begins in the vineyard

Every grape comes from our own vineyards. That means control over each step — from winter pruning to the moment the wine goes into the bottle.

  • Hand harvesting, with bunches selected in the vineyard
  • Winemaking in our cellar in Florentin, a few steps from the vines
  • Unhurried maturation, with no rush to market
  • Bottled on site, at the winery
