The Gamza that survived
When phylloxera devastated Europe's vineyards, Novoselska Gamza survived on its own roots. Today it is exactly what we grow — a local population particular to Florentin, Vinarovo and Negovanovtsi.

What is happening in the vineyards and the cellar — and the stories of the place our wine comes from.

When phylloxera devastated Europe's vineyards, Novoselska Gamza survived on its own roots. Today it is exactly what we grow — a local population particular to Florentin, Vinarovo and Negovanovtsi.

In Florentin the vines are pruned in public — with music, wine and a grill. A festival that shows wine-growing here is a way of life.

The village takes its name from Florentiana, a Roman fortress that once stood on the bank of the Danube. The vines here have a long memory.

Florentin's highest point — 216 metres — lies among the vineyards. From there you can see both the river and the rows.

Harvest is by hand, with selection in the vineyard. The road from vine to cellar takes only minutes — the grapes arrive fresh.
